Abyss sightings?

Anyone in Houston seen anything? I've heard from a few places that this was our week but all guessing Thursday/Friday from the places I've called

 

Specs Kingwood posted they had it today.

 

Anyone in Dallas see it yet?

 

Picked one up from there this morning right after they opened. Looked like around 6 or 7 bottles on the shelf.

 

Has anyone spotted any of the variants?

 

Labels were apparently just approved today, would love to know any timing on these though!

 

Specs smith street just posted that they have it.

 

Kind of a shot in the dark, but I have a buddy heading to Richardson for a work trip staying at the Regency. Any chance of finding some Abyss in the area?

According to their twitter:
"regular Abyss is currently at Smith St. No variants, yet. No ETA"
I found regular at Specs @ The Shops at Arbor Walk, 10515 Mopac Service Rd, Austin, TX 78759 (limit 1/person). The 3 Specs and Total Wine I called in Austin were not aware of Texas receiving variants.

 

TX is getting variants (not many) per the rep

 

Regular Abyss at Congress and Oltorf HEB for $12.99. No limits

 

Seemed to be a lot less in Austin stores this year compared to last.

 

I saw a few cases stacked on the floor at WF Lamar this weekend, 15.99

 

I've actually seen it around quite a bit as @GreatStoutman mentioned. Maybe there's more in south Austin? Either way, $12.99 at HEB is by far the best price I've ever seen it for. I thought it was labeled incorrectly at first.

 

They had it in the Mueller HEB for 12.99 as well. I was kicking myself for grabbing the first 4 bottle I saw for 16. Oh well, I suppose that's what I get for being greedy.

 

More curious on the variants, which got approved from TABC a little while back. Any word/rumors on those?

 

Any word of regular in San Antonio yet? Also looking for variants but figure those will be later as Specs by the airport was not aware of any prior to November 2016 when I called last week.

 

I haven't seen it in SA yet but I spoke with someone from the beer beer department at Whole Foods Blanco who said that they have a cask of 2013 Abyss they are waiting to get their shipment to tap. I have been using their taphunter page to check if it shows up. Looks like the 2013 Abyss is in their "On Deck" list...and Xocoveza Charred.

Picked up a bottle today at Spec's in Austin. Also had about 12 bottles of BBH Choco lying around.
