Abyss Sightings

I was told by the helpful beer staff at Berkeley Bowl that they never actually order Deschutes stuff, it just shows up, so they never know if/when any of the limited releases will arrive. If Dissident was any sign, they got it a week or two later than everyone else.

It's in Santa Cruz. I heard we got 10 cases for the entire County.

 

I've heard the same. So where is it at? Went to the usual spots and couldn't find anything today.

 

Sacramento: Out at Bevmo Natomas, in at Total Wine Arden. TW staff is allowing customers to purchase one bottle per day.

 

Any SoCal action?

 

You Sac folks may want to try Nugget. I know they have a really solid beer selection at the Roseville location but not sure if they carry Abyss.

 

I just got picked up my bottle from Total Wine Brea.

 

AJ's coldcase if it's still there. I picked up 2 last night.

 

It's starting to show up in So Cal.

 

Thanks for the heads up, just grabbed a bottle around 1:30 and they only had two left.

 

Is Total Wine in Santa Rosa limiting Abyss to one bottle per person? The website is letting me add as much as I want, so I thought I'd ask.

For those living in SF, I picked up a second bottle from the BevMo on Geary last night, and they still had at least two bottles left not including mine. I called the BevMo on Van Ness and they stated it should be arriving today. Always call ahead.

Healthy Spirits sold out the day they got it. As far as I know, they have no more on the horizon.

If anyone knows of any beer bars in town that are/will be serving on tap, I'd really be interested.

somebody already answered your question, but in the future if you were trying to snag several of a release they were limiting they would cancel the order. Somebody tried to order two cases of abyss from a total wine here and they kindly told him that it wasn't happening.

it's out at every Sac bevmo from what the dude I talked to on the phone today was telling me. I love how so few people seem to have a clue about stuff. They didn't know when they would be getting it and then after they got it and sold out people still were telling people that it was yet to arrive.

Ledgers as of Friday didn't have it, didn't know when it would be in. City Beer sold out the first day.
