I went to the WF near me yesterday in search of High Westified. No luck, but there were CCBOMB bottles on the shelf, so I didn't leave empty-handed.

Saw it at Brigids Bottleshop near the waterfront in Edmonds, WA today and The Beer Authority up in Lake City. Not gonna lie, I passed on this one until hearing some feedback.

Had similar luck at MacAdams Zupan today, and am now in a much better mood. Was starting to get more than a bit worried and concerned.

Am pretty certain it's only a matter of time before I find bottles of Hi-Westy and Abyss variants.

After striking out at my local New Seasons tonight, I'm not sure. The beer guy I talked to said they got their shipment of High Westified last Friday and their allotment flew off the shelves by Tuesday. He said people were "buying cases." Given the quality and price point, I'm not surprised.

Also: This New Seasons had BBomb. I'm starting to wonder if High Westy has turned into a decoy for Fremont...

I feel as if I may have seriously misjudged the demand for the Hi-Westy 6 packs. When it was in bomber format, I generally had no problem finding it, and I've found it on draft quite often. I don't want to say I took it for granted, but it wasn't a beer I ever worried about being able to obtain. Granted, the current 6 pack format is an amazing deal, but I remember thinking "who in the world is going to buy cases of a beer with this kind of abv." My assumption that the answer would be "not many," was clearly wrong.

As of yesterday morning, there were copious amounts of this year's Abyss and both variants at the Burnside Zupan's. (And regular B-Bomb too.)

    Good to know.

Seems like distribution is all over the map this year. I was at the Lake Oswego Zupans last night, and the beer guy there said he didn't expect to receive any at all (though they had plenty of CCBBOMB). I'll check the one on MacAdam's as well (the last couple of days they had the regular Abyss, but no variants), and will then give John's a call, but otherwise will check the Burnside store I guess. Hard to believe there's no place close to home that has any.

I thought the same thing about Waldo's yet it was gone almost instantly. Would have been better off buying a case initially.

Was able to find some at John's today. Standard $25 price. Not sure if there is any limit on bottle purchases (I know there was none on the regular Abyss, and they had stacks of it).

Thanks for the CCBomb tip, picked up a bottle along with a bottle of regular BBomb. Interestingly, CC was $1.50 cheaper.

It was the same over at the MacAdam's Zupan. I'm assuming they have it mispriced in their central data bank (so maybe last year's price?). As a result, I convinced myself I needed two more bottles last night. :-)

Noticed the same here at multiple places ($1 difference at the places I saw) and concluded it was a lower price from the distributor rather than store pricing error, but it's perplexing whether due to distributor(s) or multiple retailers.

Not so at Lynnwood TW. Saw two month old Lagunitas Born Yesterday though. Sad. Looked for it when it would have been fresh. Passed on it this time though. Hope they have to eat it.

That beer at a month old definitely wasn't the same, but it was still a 4 star beer. Was really surprised at its relative longevity. I'd still pay ~ $6/6pk for it.

The North Spokane TW still has a crap-ton of Cowiche bombers. Makes me sad that these did not find a home sooner. :slight_frown:

I still have 2-3 cans of Cowiche left myself, as well as 1 each of F2F Citra and Mosaic, and like sharpski was with BY, I cracked open an F2F Citra about a week ago and was shocked at how good it was still. Probably had something to do with the fact that it was a can stored in a garage at near-freezing temps. But I can't imagine those Cowiche bombers have fared well in daylight & room temp over the course of 3 months...
