With all the events going on over the next few days, I'm curious as to if/which ones the locals are going to attend. I'm thinking either KO pies (never get out to East Boston) or Row 34 (always solid) tonight and the Merchant after session 1 tomorrow. Either way, it's going to be a good weekend!
I went to the Merchant after the EBF Friday night and it was a shit show. We could barely find a server to actually pay our bill when we wanted to leave. Hopefully they won't be so utterly overwhelmed this time.
They had no clue how many people were going to show up. They just thought they were getting some beers MA doesn't get; whatever no big deal, just a normal night.
Make a reservation! We made a reservation for 10pm the night of EBF and sat at a nice table and enjoyed 4 beers each along with dinner. They'll also let you reserve a table for just beers + an appetizer.
The last couple of beeradvocate festivals we've went to Stoddard's. Not sure if they are having a ACBF specific event, but they are were always acommondating to our group of 7. Anyone else have a dinner recommendation for a large group? Looking to change it up this time.
Stoddards has a Belgian Beer Fest tonight. I'll be at Row 34 around 5:30 for the Stoneface Brewing tap takeover.
Stoddards also has the East Side Lunch tomorrow (Friday, 12:300 pm) with cans from Fiddlehead, Notch, Sixpoint, Oskar Blues, Naragansett, Smuttynose, Baxter, Toegs, and Foolproof.
Justin we had a table in the bar area. Our waiter just disappeared at about 9:40 and was never seen again
