Just wondering what my options are for lodging after the Friday night sesssion. Seaport seems to still have rooms, but I was hoping to NOT drop $300 on a place to lay my drunk ass for a night. Anyone have any suggestions near the fest in the $200 range or less? A short cab ride is fine. Any help would be appreciated.
I've got a group staying at the Kendall in Cambridge. Its 20 minutes or so on public transportation. Total came out to $220 for four people in a King room after the fees and extra-occupancy charges.
Think about staying where you'll be drinking after the fest. No sense in staying near the fest if you're going out in another part of Boston or over the rive in Cambridge. For example, I bet the Le Meridien in Central Sq Cambridge would run ~$200 a night. Near the red line subway and walkable to CBC, Meadhall, Asgard, and Lord Hobo.
Just because I like to brag….scored 4 rooms in Cambridge at $95 / night in very nice hotel using hotwire.com. Friday and Saturday night. The thing is, I was watching for a hotwire deal way back in January in anticipation of this event…I think if you go the hotwire route, you may be able to still score a room between $150 - $250 if you’re willing to travel a little and front the cost of the room. Priceline is the same thing, but I never liked the idea of throwing a price out there with literally no idea of where I would be staying…Hotwire gives me some control…
That's where we are staying for $95 / night...Look on Hotwire for 4 star hotel in Cambirdge...Probably LeMeridien
Had plans to stay with a buddy in Boston, but looks like that might fall through. Going to Session B. Anyone have good ideas for hotel stay Friday and Saturday. Coming up from VA on Friday.
