Well 4 beers is the max and there were no denials of anyone per the email; The better question is did you get the Judging Center that you wanted? I got San Diego which was my first choice, but I knew I was getting it since I volunteered to judge the 1st round last year. And don't worry if you haven't got the email either. Also in the email
No email, but on comp website it confirmed I had "unconfirmed entries" and that I should send them some dough. Nada about venue.
Try logging in at this site: http://brewingcompetition.com/ No email for me but it shows my entries when logged in (and pleads for money). Carefully hidden in the upper right hand corner is the Region. Guess I better go buy some grain . . .
the 2015 competition has an open registration period from Monday, February 2 through Sunday, February 8, 2015, during which members of the American Homebrewers Association can register for the competition.
Everyone that entered was accommodated. Got 4 in at Zanesville. It helps to judge or steward the competitions, as work this year helps getting entries next year.
If it makes you feel any better, when I was playing golf in college I qualified for the State Amateur, got the date wrong and showed up on the second day of the tournament ready to play.
Just don't make the mistake I did . . . the tattoo must be in reverse-type, so you can read it in the mirror.
