Acworth/Atlanta Tasting Group

    I recently moved to Georgia and haven't found anyone to split a nice beer with. Unfortunately, no one believes thar a twenty-something female would actually go to a bar for the beer. So I am in need of a tasting group that would possibly want a new member. If this is thw case, please let me know!

    Check out GALS (Georgia Ale & Lager Sirens). It's a womens craft beer tasting group. Most of their events are in-town, but open to anyone. You can find them on Facebook and Twitter.

    There are quite a few regular tastings around the metro area. You are just going to have issues finding something in Acworth. If you are ok driving into the city there are a quite a few options. Sign up for the beer-talk mailing list at atlantabeer.com and you will get some more local info. Ale Atlanta meets once a month, Ale Alpharetta meets once a month, and there is the First Sunday tasting every month at the Wrecking Bar. All those are always announced on that mailing list.
