Ad Idem

Word I'm looking forward to this brew too. I'm interested to see how Wicked Weed is going to influence this one. I just don't understand how this is all of a sudden a problem.

 

I had this on tap a few months ago.. I added it to BA, in fact. It's real good, but yeah, it's pretty pricy.

I hope they aren't using perceived demand to price their beers.. If that's the case, DDG may be $150.

 

I just can't wait for the DDG release. It should be a breeze with all these people swearing off Lost Abbey because of price.

 

I think everyone just spent so much in January that we were just talking out of the side of our wallets.

 

Also, the sale was originally set for today, per the first posting. Not sure why it got moved earlier

 

For a 375? Damn. Those used to be way cheaper. Do you know how much they cost at the brewery?

I think they were a little pricier because they were 2012-2013 label bottles

I'm glad I maxed out. Taste alot like DDG. Veritas 014 in the cooler was a bonus.

 

I grabbed a V014 (tastes like tart cherries now) and split it with some old friends and a new one. I wouldn't say it (it being Ad Idem) tasted a lot like ddg since I got the fruit taste and, well, ddg has no fruit, just oak-aged and blended properly.

 

Did Ad Idem sell out finally? I saw it for sale as of Monday I believe.

 

I think it was just taken down from the website.

 

I'm glad I blind bought it. taste really good.

 

Ah, okay. I'm glad it seems to be tasting good.

 

I was rather skeptical since WickedWeed is a hit or miss for me but I was pleasantly surprised. Not sure it was worth the price tag but still a rather fine brew.

Really enjoyed it as well. Looking forward to popping some bottles!

 

All the hate this release was getting made me drop my expectation on this beer and only went for 2 bottles, after having it on tap I regret not getting 4. Its even better out of the bottle.
