How much do these cost and are they easy to trade for? Or are they harder to get your hands on then other "locals?"
Both cost ~$5/bottle and the most recent batches of both can be found all over Portland, as well as other areas they distribute to. Trading locals for them is reasonable, the only problem you can run into is finding a trader in Portland.
There are people in Portland that trade, but with the number of breweries in town (~43) and the state in general, those that trade regularly are maxed out. But, if you put an ISO you should get a taker.
Don't these beers make it to California, also? I had some friends grab me an Adam while in San Francisco.
Adam and Fred can be found in NW Indiana FYI. I have purchased them at the Discount Liquors (?) near Three Floyds.
People do trade, and plenty of Adam & Fred (& other HOTD) go out to the people they trade with. Since they are shelf beers here, Adam and Fred often balance out $4$ in larger trades, IME.
I'd try to find bottles in Indiana first, Peter. Although I'm not sure if there have been any recent shipments.
I agree with this. I have sent out Adam and Fred to people before as the main part of a trade, but most often I use them to balance out a trade or use them as extras.
Adam and Fred are distributed to multiple states. It shouldn't be too hard to even find a shop that ships them.
