This beer has been bottled like twice in 11 years, and everyone knows how HotD makes sure their beers stay rare. My question is how in the helll to value this beer? People see the 12oz size, and immediately think "this isn't ktg" even though it is more rare.

What type of stuff can AftW land?

It doesn't come around that often, but the bottle limit was 24 per person (and hey, you already know what I'd give up for a bottle or ten).

i don't know. very good beer. not better than regular adam IMHO but good enough that it's worth seeking out. the barrel aging is decadent on the most recent bottling.

The best way to get a bottle of Adam from the Wood is to have a regular trading partner from the West Coast who is an awesome trading partner, a generous BA, and has a bottle that he/she is willing to send your way. Thats how I got to try a bottle for myself just recently.

im on the other side of the fence. I have a few bottles of adam ftw, im going to use a couple of them to get some beers I want. I don't want to undercut myself, or overcharge others so I figured id check here to see what the general value of it is.

"and everyone knows how HotD makes sure their beers stay rare", I would love an explanantion of this statement.

As for the trade value of Adam FTW, it is pretty high. How high? That depends on what you want and how many bottles you're willing to trade. Will it trade for a Blabaer? Sure, but not 1:1. Would it trade for a Dirty Horse? probably not. It's a great beer that has only been bottled twice. It sat in barrels for 3 years. There were only 70 cases or so of this stuff sold. It has a BA score of 99. It is released in Portland where people tend to drink their beer rather than trade it. Not hard to see why it has a high trade value.

I looked for Adam FTW for a long time, posting many ISO threads with no avail. Then, out of the blue a guy BM'ed me and we did a Black Tuesday '11 for Adam FTW trade. I am pretty sure both sides of the trade were quite happy.
