Just checking to see if anyone has traded or traded for one recently. I'd like to get a bottle or more and am trying to figure what i would have to put up in order to get some offers. Cheers!

My most recent trade was AdamFtW, Fantasia, and I think Blend Love for CL Barrel Select #1, CBS, and a 4 pack of Heady. However, I'm hoarding my remaining bottles for the long haul.

It's completely not worth trading for especially if you haven't had Kuhnhenn's BB4D, which is twice as good, half the price, and 40X easier to trade for.

It was part of a larger trade, but essentially I traded a Hill Farmstead Birth of Tragedy for one.

Completely disagree. Adam from the Wood is amazing. OP, I recommend trading for it.

Based on the fact that is has only been released a couple of times in the past ten years and it sold out in a couple of hours at the brewery only release I would have to say the trade value would be pretty high. This beer is a sore subject for me since I sent a friend who lives in Portland to the release for me and the beer sold out while he was three spots from the front. He managed to get a couple of bottles from someone else at the release and the one I opened a while back was the best beer I have ever had. I highly recommend throwing up some ISO requests and try differnet combination of beers until someone bights. You never know until you try. Good luck.

BT is proabably your best bet. Also, as a point of reference I traded a CBS for one as part of a larger trade. I'm glad I got to try it and it was a great trade with a good BA. However, it isn't something I am going to try to track down in the future.

I've traded mine for Cantillons (various vintages of Fou' Foune and St. Lamvinus), CBS, earlier vintages of Brute, Marron Acidifie, and a bunch of KBS. I threw one into a box for a BIF recently, too. I'm pretty flexible about what I trade them for, as long as I'm able to hit on major wants. I always make things fair from a $4$ perspective as well.

Me too, my friend got there a bit before doors opened and she also got snubbed. I think most people that got some got large quantities so it is just a matter of finding the right offer and having the right eyes see it. I am probably opening my one and only bottle on Friday, so I will weigh in with my official position on whether it is worth the asking price after that.

Lol, I'm a dumbass. I read the thread title, and was trying to figure out what the hell this "Adam For the Win" beer was all about.

If it makes you feel better, I always think that when I'm typing the abbreviation.

@DavoleBomb: I know it's impossible to imagine, but there might be some bottle variation going on with the one you had. But like I said, bottle variation for Hair of the Dog? Unpossible.

It's more of a running joke about Hair of the Dog. I love what Alan creates, but quality control isn't the #1 target.

FWIW, as an aside, I like both BB4D and Adam FtW, but I don't find them really comparable. BB4D struck me as much sweeter and more Old Ale/Barleywine, AdamFtW is much smokier/leathery.

Totally agree with the taste assessment there. I think for me though AFtW is a bit higher on the list...hence this thread!

I had a 2011 bottle at the brewery (they have it for sale for onsite consumption only) and it was delicious. It's a tad bit sweet though. I didn't know it was that hard to trade for. I was thinking like a Hunah could land one.
