Add Acronyms to Beer Profile Page

    It would be cool to see the commonly used acronym on the beers profile page.

    Please NO! Having spent a lot of years working at a big computer company (that is itself an acronym), I'm so sick of acronyms...

    You'd have to let people put them in the commercial description. We just need to use accronyms less.

    To me it gets frustrating looking through trades and sometimes having to look up acronyms. It would be awesome if there was a spot on the beers page where the acronym could be shown. It could also be user added with approval like a lot of other things on the page (Picture, location, etc.).

    As a Site Editor (someone who deals with the updates/approvals), we already have a huge volume of things to process on a pretty regular basis and this would just add to it.

    Also, there are frequently a couple of different acronyms used for a single beer depending on the person... which one should be displayed?

    Perhaps someone who trades (and wants more info on the acronyms to be more easily found) could make a request to have a FAQ/Sticky Thread dedicated to this in the Trading Section of the forums since that is the audience for the information (for the most part).
