addicted to buying beer...

Hi, my name is Bozodogbreath. I have a beer buying habit. I gained 25 lbs in two years trying to keep my cellar in check. I tried keeping it in check by increasing my beer drinking to include drinking a beer with dinner every night. I just ended up buying more different beer. My tasting group doesn't come over for tastings, they call them "interventions." I have gone two weeks without buying beer, and have gone 4 weeks without drinking beer Sunday through Thursday. I am losing weight and saving money, lots of it. I do get shaky thinking about buying Parabola. Life is good.

 

I had a friend tell me I had a beer buying problem... I was relieved at his choice of words.

 

It's a definite compulsion for me to buy beer. Sometimes I can justify my sprees and feel ok about it, while other days I overspend and feel guilty the rest of the day. At least my tastes have shifted towards cellarable beers. That way it's an "investment" rather than a sink.

 

I was dreading the move from Tampa to Columbus Ohio due to work big time, but Ohio has definitely helped me step up my drinking game. Not sure if that's a good thing...
