I definitely drink the cellared ones but all these damn seasonals keep adding to my stock cause around here it's buy it when you see it or you never get it cause stores around here usually don't get many cases of the good limited/seasonals. I try to make sure I rotate in a few of the more perishable beers into my weekly agenda to make sure I'm using up older stock.

This thread sadly makes me feel better about my 'hobby' :-)

Not addicted to buying per se, but my cellar count has increased a fair bit.

Now buying too much of IPA's or other beer that should be drank as fresh as possible? Guilty.

The secret is simple. Just change your entire life to revolve around your new diet and exercise program (in which you only allow yourself beer if you've burned the requisite calories via exercise). Repeat daily for 2.5 years. Success!

I already changed my life to accommodate kids and beer. No chance exercise fits into this picture anymore. I'll just have to use beer AS my meal I guess.

Beer shopping is fun. I'll browse for a half hour sometimes. Then I look at the time and I realize, shit I should grab something already.

I am in the same exact position brother. It' consumes me. Have way more beer than I can possibly drink. I will continue to have this so called "problem" for quite some time as I cannot stop with wanting more and more dank beers.

I have just recently started buying way much more than I can drink. I used to buy just enough for the week but it's a whole different story when you start aging things lol.

Every Wednesday I stop in at my local Wegman's because that's the day they get their delivery for the week. The beer dept. workers all know me and will let me know what's new and if there is something in the back they haven't put out yet. Between that and monthly trips to Capone's for the really limited stuff, I have over 300 bottles in my cellar. I will buy a 4 pack of seasonal and put the other 3 away to age or pick up 2 bombers of something to drink 1, cellar one. Today was two 4 packs of Great Lakes Nosferatu and a 6 of Deschute's Black Butte porter. I will drink one of each and save the rest. So yes, I am more addicted to buying than to drinking. My wallet suffers but my liver seems relieved

What so you know? I stopped by TW to see what was delivered today and ended up buying Oude Tart and Expedition Stout. I also called a local shop and paid for a bunch of stuff over the phone. It just keeps getting better...lol.

My husband tells me that I like buying beer more than drinking them. He doesn't seem to have a problem with this type of addiction.

Yeah so I was just telling a buddy of mine how I need to get my hands on some Cigar City Good Ghourd because I've never had it, but I can't find it anywhere. Low and behold, I'm rotating my vert stock, and I find a bottle of Good Ghourd. Ha! You know you're addicted to buying beer when you don't even know what the hell you have! I honestly have no recollection of buying it, and I don't do many trades!

Like many others weighing in on this thread, i buy way more beer than I (or my friends) could ever consume. My wife thinks i am crazy but can any of us really be 100% certain that the 21st amendment won't be repealed and prohibition will return? We won't be looking so stupid then, will we!!!!
