Adding a cider made with hops

    A local cider maker just released an apple cider but made with hops. Would this be possible to add?

    There are already a lot of ciders made with hops. Woodchuck makes one, Crispin makes one, etc. The fact is that meads, ciders, cysers, etc. are just not beer, and this is BeerAdvocate. RateBeer seems less strict with this as you can find beverages of these types on there, but here it's a no go, no matter what barrel it's aged in and what hops it's dry hopped with.

    there's a cidery at the market where I work that sells an "IPC", specifically meant to be "brewed" like an IPA. Where would that fall?
