I just purchased my first kegerator (a kegco k199) and tapped it. I have a tower cooler I purchased with it on backorder. I also have another small axial diy fan I was going to use as an air circulator in the kegerator. However, I couldn't feed its power cord through the hole alongside the air hose. So if I want to run it and presumably the tower cooler, what are my options for running the power cords into the unit? I was debating drilling a small hole behind the tower but I'm nervous about doing so. If there any trick on how to get the cables through the gas line hole with the gas line?
You don't need to make a weather system in there, just move a little air. I wouldn't bother with a second fan until you have the tower cooler installed and see what the result is. For the cords the better option is to enlarge the hole that the CO2 line is going through a little bit, cut the plugs off the cords, feed them through alongside the line and then reattach the plugs.
