I have a mixed culture fermentation that I brewed last Halloween that is ready for some fruit. Its a solid 5 gallons and I was thinking of adding one of these to it. http://www.northernbrewer.com/alexander-s-muscat-46-oz Thought?
I'd rather mix in a couple decent bottles of wine to taste. You'll be able to get better quality fruit, and have a reasonable taste test to figure out the amount with the sugar mostly fermented already. Here's my New Zealand Saison, with Sauvignon Blanc blended in.
I guess it is cheating a bit (although not much more than having a maltster malt your grains for you), but it is difficult to get high quality wine grapes in small quantities.
