Adding New Beers to BA

    I attended Portland Fresh Hops fest today and went to look up some of the beers I had so I could rate them and a significant amount of the beers I tried aren't in the database. I went to the "Add Beer" section but it only allows me to choose the country the beer is from. I cannot add a new beer. Am I not cool enough or established enough on BA to add new beers or is it just an error with the site?

    I believe you have to do full reviews on at least 10 beers and then the BA's will grant you privileges to add beers. Just giving it a numerical score doesn't count as a review.

    Ok I figured it was something like that. I guess it makes sense. Sorry if this was already asked in the forum.

    You should be able to add beers and get passed the country drop-down. The system appears to be working properly, others are adding beers without issues and it has nothing to do with number of Reviews.

    Did you click submit? From there it'll grab either state/province or a list of breweries to then submit.

    I don't see a submit button. That method wasn't working for me but I did it the other way that was posted here. Looks like comment was removed but if you go to the brewery pages there is an add beer feature. Thanks.

    You indeed stumbled upon a bug, which has been fixed. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

    PS - I removed all of the "you're not cool enough" banter.
