Here's another example that most of you will probably never try, just some extra evidence that others have had similar thoughts to OP.

I didn't rate it because I only had a sample, but it seemed like a decent combo to me. I agree with one of the reviewers who said that it was a little heavy on the tea. It's not something that I would intentionally add to my IPAs.

Yes, I've done it many times. Yes, it still works just fine with cold beer. I've done green tea with a couple DIPAs and chamomile tea a few times too, both were great. In fact, one of these days I'm going to brew a legit version inspired by the latter, it was really stellar.

Every time I've done it, I've simply put the tea bag directly into cold beer with a heavier plastic utensil to push and hold the tea bag to the bottom of the glass (because if it's floating on top, you won't infuse the whole beer).

I know it wasn't an IPA but I had a friend leave a couple PBR's in the fridge and I wasn't sure what to do with them. I had a blueberry green tea bag in the house and I figured why not. It turned this boring Macro into a pretty solid summer blueberry beer. Plus a little caffeine and antioxidants it was a win win. One store has a mico singles cooler where all beers are $1 so I will be experimenting from that selection.

I assume someone already made a tea-bagging joke, so I'll jut say this: I'm not really one for tampering with my beer. I want it the way they made it. If I don't like it, I might consider doing something to make it more palatable, but generally, I drink it the way it was intended to be consumed.

I did it with a massive amount of a Hawaiian mango tea (a black tea base). I used the second steep to cut the astringency and mixed it in just before bottling. It was outstanding. The tea and mango flavor came through without being harsh.

Milwaukee Brewing Company makes a DIPA blended with tea - Ogii - I wasn't that impressed...

I know for a fact that plenty of beer has been tea bagged. One of the reasons you don't leave your beer unattended at a party.

Pretty sure tea bagged is just Surly's way of saying dry hopped in a bag in the cask/keg

This is an awesome idea, though to be honest the Randall Jr makes it unnecessary if you have one.

I dunno, if you could make it 3D that'd be pretty cool....

@marquis is often in the minority in his opinions

    Not that kind of teabag...

So, you know what you need to do next? Get a few bottles of the 'regular' version, and try different concentrations of Chai on your own until you find one that is in the sweet spot. Then you know how much Chai to add to a stout for your taste, and repeat with whatever stout you can find easiest/enjoy the most.
