Adroit Theory Brewing

    Just saw this brewery on Instagram but i dont really know much about it. Labeling and concept look cool but.....hows the beer? I checked their BA profile but I really dont see much ratings on their brews. I drive down to DC a few times a year and Im way overdue in going down there. I google mapped it and it says its bout 1hr18min away from dc. I wouldnt mind driving there while im visiting but dont really know if its worth it. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    I would definitely check them out, their beers are for the most part always rotating. They do a lot of experimental type stuff and barrel aging.

    There hasn't been a beer from them that I thought wow this is terrible.

    The place seems pretty cool and the beers sound interested. You dont really hear much about them though @Iamjeff6 thats why I was kind of hesitant. I didnt want to drive an hr out of my way from my 4hr drive down to DC for sub par beer you know. But I'll have to check this place out. Or maybe trade for a brew and see if it like it or not.

    To trade for them you would have to find someone that lives close by since they do not distro anything, its all brewery only release beers. And they only have a few of their beers in bottles.

    Depending on when you plan on going make sure to check their facebook for what beers they have on tap that weekend.

    +1 to everything that @Iamjeff6 has said, definitely check their FB page to see what's on tap.

    I have relatives out that way so I'll usually stop in there when I'm out that way. I'm a fan of their Zero, their coffee IPA and G/I/A/A (God is an American), their DIPA with all/mostly Citra hops.

    Cool @kts sounds like u have a good thing going there! Well if your ever looking to trade some let me know. That Dipa sounds good. I also see they have a Society. The prices for it doesnt look too bad.

    I past through Purcelleville once a month or so. I'd be interested in some 077XX and Boat. I will let you know next time I am out that way

    If everyone else falls thru im only 30-40 minutes away from the brewery. Depending on the time I might be able to make it out there.

    Thank you @jgpineda for starting this thread. I've been wanting to hear more about Adroit Theory, as they seem like the kind of place I would dig, but I'd have to make a special plan of hitting the place. For that reason, I was hoping for some input. Cool.

    Sounds good. I've never picked up any of their bottles, only had stuff on draft either at the brewery on taken a growler home with me. I'm definitely up for sending some bottles or a growler up your way for some Carton stuff like everyone else has been offering too. :wink:

    The only bad part about their bottles is the price, they charge 12$ for a 12oz beer, its pretty steep.

    Yea I did notice that @Iamjeff6 thats one of the reasons I questioned their brews. Sometimes sub par breweries tend to hike their prices and their product isnt that good.

    @kts Whenever you are ready. I have plenty of Boat and 077xx around me. If you want some more unique things I can drive down to the brewery which is about an hr away.

    I can see where they hike some of the prices up because they are barrel aged and what not.

    Yea your right @Iamjeff6 but for the price of some of them you can get a 22oz Ba brew as opposed to 375ml(I think thats what I saw on their site)
