Hello. Please forgive me for this being my one (and potentially only) post. I'm afraid I'm not much of a beer enthusiast so I need some advice. I have had a bottle of Boulevard Saison Brett (bottle #09209/11950 from Batch #2008-1) chilling *completely undisturbed* in the back of my fridge for quite some time (I served many bottles of it at a party ages ago and this one got saved because the label was slightly ripped) and I need some advice on what to do with it.

I was advised to come to this board for advice...

So what do you think? I see that it is a well liked beer...but is it worth attempting to sell/ship/trade for something to an enthusiast? If so, what is a reasonable price for it? If its not worth much, no worries at all. I am enough of an enthusiast of other strange stuff - vintage cars / mopeds / pinballs / antiques etc. - to know its best to at least 'ask the experts' before tossing something that someone might want.

Cheers and thanks in advance for your perspective.

    Collin

Hit the trade forums for this question.

My opinion, it's a good beer, a bit dry for me at that pace, and accordingly, I'm not into it. If I had it in my possession, I'd trade it for local, seasonal releases either of equal age/cost or for a slightly more spendy seasonal local.

To sell - see "the Bay", but I would guess in the current climate, maybe $20 + shipping.

....or, drink that bitch! It's gonna be mighty different than when it was first released and if you can, do a side by side with a newer batch. That's what I've done with my S-B's and they were good experiences.

    cheers

Don't toss it. Trade it. Drink it. Give it to someone. But don't toss it. It is a tasty beer and I bet it is pretty funky and awesome right now (a 2008 batch).

    Thanks for the advice, all.

I'm just going to send it down to Ian - he PM'd me - sounds like he will enjoy it! Cheers.
