Advice for Funky Buddha visit

I wouldn't mind if they went back to doing them at 12 Noon because when they did that, I was able to stop by on my lunch break from work and the line wasn't too bad, but I know they won't go back to that. There were too many complaints from people that can only go in the evenings. I might stop by there tomorrow night and see if they have any Last Snow or Nib Smuggler left on tap.

 

LS should last into next week. Probably not the case for Nib Smuggler since it was a left over keg from the cheese pairing event

 

Do they only sell growlers on Tuesday or is that just when they do special releases? I was planning to go by there today or tomorrow to grab a couple.

 

Last Snow was their special release of the week, which was only held Tues. You can get any of their core beers any day of the week.

 

They fill growlers of core beers every day.
Special growlers every tuesday, usually it's not quite as popular as Last Snow.
If they ever growler MBCP though...

 

Ohhhh they should have bottled Last Snow instead of More Moro... would have been glorious on their part. Oh well...

 

How was this batch of LS? The LS I had at the MBCP release was off.

 

They did growler MBCP in December but for Founder members only

 

Pretty solid batch IMO. One of the best batches to come out of the brewery. Obviously tons of coconut, WC, vanilla, coffee on the nose, taste was very balanced as well with no off flavors

 

Definitely one of the better batches I've had.

 

At MBCP day the bartenders kept pouring the wrong beer instead of last snow. It took me 3 repours before I actually got Last Snow.

 

Sounds like every volunteer that was pouring from the big tap semi truck at Huna Day this year.

 

Their website says Store coming in April, but I haven't seen anything yet. I have someone visiting there soon and was wondering what they have to sell as far as merchandise goes.

yeah that was cool of them. The line didn't move at all from 7:00pm-7:30pm. But once the tickets got handed out there seemed to be more control, even if you had to wait a bit. I did but it wasn't an issue. there was some cool folks in line

 

The More Moro bottle release tonight is now TWO bottles per person, $12 per bottle.

 

FWIW I can't stand that beer. This is one release I'll be avoiding, and if it's anything like the Nib release I'm happy to avoid the crowd.
