Anchor Steam was the first to come to mind.

I suggest that you start working your way down this list of German Pilsners until you find the one(s) that you like and are easily obtainable. http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/style/41/ Many of these have already been mentioned above.

If you're looking for crushable and affordable why don't you try founders all day ipa? $15 for 15 cans and I think it's a great beer for working....

I must have misunderstood the Title. I thought "beery" beers were more along the line of adjunct lagers. I guess I'm confused.

My summer "crush" able has been the Shiner Family Reunion. Easy drinking variety that goes with anything.

OP said he wasn't into Summerfest and Weinstephaner original, two choices which would lead me to think he wants beers that bring more flavor than Busch.

OP - Sam Adams Noble Pils is great stuff. Brooklyn Lager and Anchor Steam are good bets as well.

I'd go with Anchor Steam or Firestone DBA, both overlooked but classic and perfectly balanced beers that go with any food or occasion.

My bad, my response to you @BEERschlitz should have said that the OP said he WAS into Summerfest and Weinstephaner. I noticed the error when it was too late to edit.

Lot of great beers here. In addition to the German and American beers here, how about a little love for some English ale. Abbot Ale, Old Speckled Hen (nitro can), and Fullers London Pride are endlessly drinkable beers that taste like beer.

Actually I can drink anything at anytime and usually drink double IPA's or imperial Stouts after cutting grass. An hours worth of up hill brutality! But I do remember a few years back having a variety case of brew from Victory and after cutting grass chugging down a Victory Prima Pils and thought it was really good and hit the spot. And I'm no way in hell a pilsner drinker!
