98%, 59/60 - looked at some practice questions and about 4 hours total study time/reading the past two evenings. I could have winged it, though, I probably wouldn't have done very well, probably would have still passed.

Main questions that would have tripped me up had I not studied:
Beer style questions, What beer style has assertive bitterness, ABV range of 5.5-7.5%, with gold to amber color?
    or
Specific flavors in styles/yeasts/malts/ hops, What is a unique flavor in stouts that is not in other styles?
    or
Other questions on specific German, Belgium, and French styles.

Otherwise, pretty straight forward, not too challenging.

Real advice, not meant to be derogatory, is to get your personal finances together before getting into the craft beer industry.

The pay is not great and hard to live on. The tradeoff is that it is a labor of love and probably the most fun industry I've been in.

Having said that, I personally didn't have my finances together when I got in (student loans, car debt, etc) and had to leave the industry for a higher paying job in healthcare to pay the bills.
