Advice On Giving Advice

And in response to the OP, I generally find that most situations warrant not saying anything, unless the person is likely to receive it well (which i perceive to be true very rarely).

 

I dont have the biggest pedigree behind me to offer advice (especially about offering advice), but when I can help I do. I try to stay objective and direct.. if the person is a tool ill leave it alone and let the keyboard commanders have at em. It's worked alright I think, although i can only think of 2-3 (now ~4) times I've ever offered my opinion on much besides taking part in typical conversation.

 

Here's where I have some disagreements. Why should $4$ matter in terms of brewery only releases? Why should it really matter that some breweries want to charge more for their releases than others? If the bottle counts are similar and I have a rare beer that you want in exchange for your rare, albeit slightly pricier beer, if I throw in the $4$ difference in quality locals, why shouldn't the trade happen?

 

I don't think most people would argue that it shouldn't... you're still going $4$.
