Wormtown brewery is out of Worcester MA and their Be Hoppy IPA is pretty fantastic.

Make sure he finishes the roof before giving beer. I'm a contractor, all work stops when good beer comes out.

Most of these should be pretty easy to find in better MA beer stores:

    Uinta Hop Notch IPA
    Racer 5
    SN Torpedo
    Ithaca Flower Power
    Lagunitas IPA
    Lagunitas Little sumpin
    Firestone Walker Union Jack IPA
Newburyport Green Head IPA - available in the Merrrimack valley area, not sure if they expanded distribution in MA yet
    Wachussett Light IPA
    Founder's All Day IPA
    Harpoon IPA
Widmer IPA series - Depsite their distribution agreement with A-B and being within an hour of its east coast brewery, kind of hard to find - especially fresh

I'd add Maine Beer Company Lunch, Firestone Wookey Jack (Or Revival 2X) Black IPA, Six Point Resin, Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye, Lagunitas Maximus or Little Sumpin Sumpin and a Bud Platinum (Just to fuck with him)

    Stone IPA
    Sierra Nevada TORPEDO
    Victory Hop Devil
    Ballast Sculpin
    Head Hunter
    Steelhead

..tops in my book, there are Worlds more, but those are pretty mainstream in my area & top notch
-- -- Oh yeah-- Uinta Top Notch IPA too.

Absolutely. This is intended as a thanks for a job well done. The man has really gone the extra mile making sure the job is done right and he could have easily postponed me until the weather breaks.

My roof is nearing completion, insurance checks are in the bank - time to go shopping! Depending on what I can find fresh, I will supplement some 60-minute I know he likes with:

Hoponius Union, Mayflower IPA, and Foolproof Backyahd - supporting the locals. May toss in a Berkley Beer Company IPA if I can get some from this week's production since it is VERY local and extremely reasonably priced. All of these I know I can find fresh.

Smutty Finest Kind, MBC Lunch or Mo, and Wormtown Be Hoppy - keeping it in New England, but some hang around for a while.

FW Union Jack, Racer 5, Sorachi Ace to expand the horizons a bit. Long shots for freshness, but great nonetheless.

How's that looking? Everybody want to come work at my house now?

I was about to say, we don't get it here in NY. Why recommend a beer that doesn't distribute to where OP is at....

1.Any of the low ABV IPA's would be great. Lawson's makes the best one in the country (hands down) but hard to come by.
    2. Wormtown Brewing has an IPA, they're in Worchester.
    3. Treehouse Brewing in Brimfield, Ma. has Julius. Which, in my opinion is the best IPA in the area. A fantastic beer.
    4. IPA's need to consumed as fresh as possible. I only drink IPA's that are within one month of the bottle date. If there is no date I usually will not buy them.

New England Brewing Co. in Woodbridge, CT. just north of New Haven , CT. DOES NOT distribute to Mass. Period.
I haven't been able to buy Gahndi Bot for a couple of weeks because they were sold out. It's back out today for growler fills and in the local stores in cans.

If the work is up to spec serve Lunch with lunch. If work is subpar serve lemonade and tell him to get back pounding nails.

Work is excellent, very happy customer here, so doing a little extra sumpin' is the least I can do. AFTER the last nail has been pounded :sunglasses:

I'm in CT, and I can't get GB without taking about an hour drive West. I do get plenty of Sea Hag, though, which I find to be a decent IPA.

Have seen Sea Hag once in a while in SE Mass as well - have not seen Ghandi-Bot.

Then throw a Lil Sumpin Sumpin in the mix too.

If he isn't a big beer guy, then keep it straight forward with beers he can easily find in MA on his own if he likes them. Beers like:
    Hoponius Union
    Smuttynose IPA
    Mayflower IPA
    Racer 5
    Lagunitas Lil Sumpin Sumpin
    Southern Tier 2x IPA
    FW Union Jack
    Baxter Stowaway
    Stone IPA

Yup. He said he likes DFH 60-minute and we get that all the time (so will he), but I wouldn't be content without at least expanding the horizons a bit. Five of the ones you suggest make my final cut - posted it somewhere above. Being a Jack's Abby fan-boy (ok, old guy fan-boy) HopU was the first one on my list! Think I have the makin's of a pretty fun mystery box.
