    Hi Everyone,

I will be making a trip to VT this weekend...staying w/ a friend in Manchester on Friday night and then getting up early to try and get some Fiddlehead cans on Saturday the 11th--probably spend the night someplace up that way and head back Sunday to NJ. I know the Heady schedule doesn't really coincide with me "timing" wise but I am still trying to locate some if at all possible. Also...obviously Lawson's SOS. Does anyone have any advice for a novice? :-)

    Thanks!

Hunger Mountain Co-op had SoS last Friday. It was my first time up that way and I was shocked to see how quick the Heady went In Stowe. Literally completely gone from every store before 11:15.

I'd check the Waterbury Friday delivery spots and Craft Beer Cellar (even though they get theirs on Wednesday).

It does seem like retail supply is not keeping up with demand, but you'll certainly be able to find some at a local watering hole.

Was at Fiddlehead last Sat. for the 4/4 Second Fiddle release. Got there at 10am, was about 35th in line. They opened the garage around 10:45, probably because it was so damm cold out there and snowing. Line moves very quickly, got my case and a half around 11:00. CASH ONLY!!!!! Line was maybe 70-80 deep when I left. Will be real hard to get any Topper or Lawson's on Saturday, maybe look up the Beverage Warehouse in Winsooki online to see if they have anything left from Friday. Can always find some in local pubs to drink, and can have some HF in those too.

thanks for all the tips - been able to pretty much drink whatever I've wanted to try up in Montpellier at 3 Penny but always wanted to have my timing down to be able to bring some stuff back. Usually able to get one thing but not the other, etc. Beggars can't be choosers though lol.

I live in VT. There are some beers better than others, but no bad beers! Try Lost Nation in Morrisville. Simply tremendous. Great beers on tap at 14th Star in St. Albans. Great guys. They are Vets and their beers honor our veterans. Come to VT. Drink and stay the night. I have a 4 of HT in the fridge
It is as good as they say!

I am headed to the Fiddlehead release as well. In my experience there is no reason to line up early. Get there within two hours of opening and don't wait in line. If you want Sip, on your way up stop at the Warren Store. A little out of the way but worth the effort and Sip cans have hung around for Saturday recently. If in doubt, give them a call. Great folks who are more than wiling to provide information.

Headed to Waterbury for lunch before hitting Hill Farmstead on Saturday. I will be the guy in the Yankee hat should we cross paths!

    Good Luck!

I was considering the drive to HF after Fiddlehead but thought maybe that was being overzealous. Glad to see someone else is doing the same! Enjoy your trip - NH cold use more Yankee fans lol.

The Beverage Depot in Manchester is pretty good, they get Second Fiddle and Backacre amongst others. Get up early, head north (no stopping at Up For Breakfast) and see what you can find. Ive seen the Craft Beer Cellar in Waterbury still have HT on Saturday morning- I believe they open at eleven. Where are you spending Saturday night?

Just so you are aware, they've been selling the Second Fiddle out quicker as of late. You might want to get there around the time that the sale starts. I believe it sold out during the initial line at one of the recent releases. Not positive how last weekend's release went though.

Thanks for the tip! Was under the impression (for some reason) that it hung around for at least 3 hours most recently. I do plan to be there around 11:30 so hopefully that will do. The Dinner release in Maine the same day can't hurt...

Will be a slow weekend, if not, there are no slow weekends.
