    ¡Beeradvocate! Just want to throw a little love to the site itself.

    1. 99% of the time, has the beer you are looking for, + opinions, and observations of tons of other BA's.

    2. Keeps you in touch with the beer scene via the forums....no matter where you are in the world.

    3. Site is smooth and quick loading, not like other sites that are loaded down with slow loading paraphernalia. Easy to navigate. Within seconds we always have at our fingertips what we came to the site to discover.

    I'm sure there are many, many other things to list......and that's why I started this thread. Let the love flow fellow BA's!

    Makes me wonder why the other site gets any traffic and has more reviews especially for very new/obscure beers. Organization is great, forums are fantastic and loads fast just like you said.

    Yeah, lot so great stuff here. My only major complaint is the deletion of threads with no explanation.

    I have the opposite opinion. I don't want a mobile version or app because it runs well on my phone the way it is.

    Besides Wikipedia (surprisingly) this is the site I used most to help me with passing my Certified Beer Server test. It honestly has everything I need and when I come across people in the beer shop I frequent who LOVE the 'other' site I just don't get it. We are much more objective here and don't hand out 'high' grades for a majority of beers that are tasty, yet undeserving. We also have a much more expansive forum with a vast amount of content and attention to detail. But I digest...

    Love the site; great interface, great community, great information. It was the first site I found when I entered the beer world, and it's the only site I've used since.
    I looked at RateBeer once, I nearly threw up. Looks like twitter for beer hipsters.

    Yup, happens constantly. Possibly the worst forum I've ever seen in the past 15 years, in regards to that topic. I'm sure these posts will magically disappear too...

    Yep - this is one of a handful of sites that I use. I find the local forums here most useful and interesting. Most of the folks in the New England forum are pretty cool and there seems to be a lot less asshattery than other subforums.

    Haha, well that "other site" makes me laugh. 90% or more of the "reviews" there are a complete joke. You gotta start somewhere, but give me a break.

    Dispite the few complaints I have about this site, it's a very reliable forum to stay updated on what's going on in the craft beer community, and can be a fun place on the web to have stimulating discussions regarding beer.

    P.S.
    Don't go read my reviews to see if my statement about RB's reviews holds any weight because I know I'm not quite as talented as I'd like to be :stuck_out_tongue:

    The reasons for deletion are covered in the rules and most are by repeat offenders, but as we've already stated in the past ... the system doesn't support a good way to notify users when something gets deleted and it's not feasible to start a conversation whenever a thread/post is removed.

    Basically: If more people read the rules, we'd see far less threads getting pulled.
