Didn't see a thread mentioning this but Aeronaut brewing is celebrating their one year anniversary June 21st. In honor of this they are doing their first can release of a mosaic IPA brewed called "A year with Dr. Nandu", brewed only for this event.

I tried a few of their offerings at ACBF and quite enjoyed their "A session with Dr. Nandu" APA.

I'm looking forward to this. The can designs are out of this world.

Ya, the cans look great! I'm also excited to see what the custom glassware looks like.

I believe AYWDN is going on tap tonight? Curious if anyone had it what's your opinion? Debating going in for the can release tomorrow .....

According to their facebook they will be pouring it from cans. Not sure if anything else will be on tap or if they will only be serving that.

Haven't had AYWDN but I like the regular Dr. Nandu and mosaic hops. I'm a little surprised they didn't have it ACBF; seemed like a great place to spread the word.

Any idea when the cans may sell out? I saw the release started at 10am and I wont be able to get there until about 1:30. I was hoping to at least get a 4pack.

Just went and they had plenty of cans left.

Thx to the OP for the heads up on this! I've been meaning to check them out forever and this finally got me off my butt.
I was surprised at how great their space is - I'd say its roughly on par with nightshift who get a lot more attention for their taproom.

They had a bunch of less trendy styles on offer too like marzens and maibocks. Havent tasted my cans yet but the marzen was super tasty.

Glad to have finally ventured out and will definitely be back.

Edit: I can never spell marzen correctly. Why do I think it has an extra 'a'?

I think the umlaut and the 'e' somehow merge into an 'a' in my memory

thanks. I'll have to look into how to make an umlaut show up in forum text.

Went right around 1 and was impressed with the space too - will absolutely be back. AYWDN and Jackdaw were fantastic

Got cans, tried a few beers, and listened to Keytar Bear. Overall a nice event with a good turn out.

Grabbed a case. It's pretty good. My 3 year old was amazed by Keytar Bear.

Had a blast, love the space, very chill.

Sampled the doppelbock and had a pint of the new IPA. Loved the hefeweizen though, very tasty.

    Cheers to Aeronaut!

I have been going to Aeronaut since before their opening (they were more than happy to pour pilot brews and give tours to curious minds who pulled open the unlocked door after wandering over from the climbing gym or makerspace next door). Most of their beers are pretty good (a few duds. I remember a particularly awful cask poor with ginger...but that's how it goes when you experiment, which they do, having brewed and sold upwards of 150 pilot beers this year. A really great strategy, taken right from the top scientific and biotechnology companies in the world quite honestly). A few are excellent--and they have really been hitting their stride with many of them. But to the topic at hand; AYWDN, which has been one of their good to excellent staple beers since almost the beginning...in a can, holy shit. This competes with Heady Topper...which I had about 6 cans of last weekend in Warren. Truly, no bullshit. This beer was absolutely MEANT to be drank out of a pint can...and it is incredible. I will never be able to get it on tap their again...it's just wrong. The can mutes what needs to be muted and allows the depth and balance to shine. I lI've aeronaut and have always appreciated drinking local fresh beer regardless of comparisons to others. Steadily many of their beers have become true works of zymological genius and this place will be on the map soon. Their approach, attitude, palate, market, and scientific pedigree are a recipe for success, and this experimental foray into canning
..just the beginning I hope! 100 beer rating, no question, AYWDN in can.

I stopped in on Sunday on the way back from Lord Hobo to grab some cans after reading this thread (and largely based on @gargoylethekeg 's review of AYWDN). Man, what a great beer. Very cool spot too; the party looked like a ton of fun but I had to run out after buying the cans on account of a busy afternoon and being parked in the church lot, which didn't seem like a great place to leave my car. I'll need to seek these guys out more often.

Just cracked my first can after picking them up on Saturday - really good stuff! I want to say it's a bit of a hybrid of the old school and new fangled east coast IPAs. It's got some of the fruity nose and lower bitterness that everybody chases these days, but also a bit of that nutty, darker maltiness that I associate with old classics like Harpoon.

Looking forward to keeping up with these guys in the future and kicking myself for waiting this long to get over there!

I've had two cans now and that is exactly what I thought both times. Not exactly new england or west coast style, some sort of mash up.

I wouldn't compare them to Trillium or Night Shift just yet, but I can see them carving their own niche in the Boston beer scene.

I would have liked to stop by the festivities, anyone know if there were cans still available after the weekend?

For those still looking for cans they had a secret stash of cans they released yesterday. Not sure on the quantity but you may be able to get them over the next few days. This beer has gradually grown on me so I will probably grab some if I'm in the area.
