I quit my job so I need to cut my budget for beer by 1/2 until I get a new job. Anyone knows affordable craft beer here in Alberta? A few days ago I had a 6 pack of Mutiny red ale from Bowen Island at less than $10 and it was not bad. Thanks.

Jeez, 6 pack of craft beer in NL costs on average $16.00, often more. Whatever you do, don't move here!

Red Racer IPAs 12$ a 6er, Old Rasputin runs about the same for a 4 pack of great 9% RIS, both bargains in my eyes but not "cheap" beer I suppose. If you live in Calgary grab some Co-op gold, its cheap and drinkable.

Fun Fact Coop Gold (Coop Brand) is brewed by Big Rock and so is River Valley Lager (Liquor Depot Brand) and Alberta Genuine Draft (AGD) all three taste pretty much the same haha

Bowen Island is about the best deal going - the Artisan IPA is quite drinkable, and the Pale Ale is pretty decent, too. Coop has a line of "craft"ish beers happening, too - a Red, an IPA and a Pale Ale. Red Racer has mixer packs at Costco - great beer, priced less than the major producers.
