+1 on the flowery aspect. I find Two Hearted to have an awesome floral/sweet smell. Other IPA's like Sculpin seem more citrus to me.

Also, I apparently need to buy Evolution lot 3. I really want a grapefruit punch in the nose and palate.

I keep hearing about Zombie Dust and I can't get any where I live. Is it REALLY that good?!

It spends a lot of time on the shelves in Columbus. It's good, but I think Headhunter is head and shoulders above.

It's a really delicious, well balanced IPA. I had one and thought "whats all the fuss, this is a great beer but it isn't changing my life." Then I lucked into a case, and it HAS changed my life. I didn't used to drive to Chicago (or Munster Indiana) once or twice a year. I am going to start doing that.

So I am hearing well balanced IPA, what does it compare to? Munster is an 8 hour drive...

So it's an APA, not an IPA, I often struggle to distinguish them. Less bitter than some IPA perhaps but still very hoppy and really citrusy. I am having trouble of thinking of comprable beers, mostly because I get hung up on a characteristic that disqualifies it. Its like a lot of hoppy and citrusy IPA and APA's, it just tastes better. Sorry I can be more descriptive. back on topic.

Next thing people will start telling me is that Alpha King is also an APA.

    I would say...
    H.S. Loose Cannon
    B.B. Mojo
    S.N. Finestkind
Lagunitas IPA,Maximus and Perhaps Hop Stoopid
    N.B. Ranger IPA
    G.F. West Coast IPA
    Alesmith IPA
Titan IPA (but may also have piney/herbal/resiney flavors in the mix as well)

To me, Hoptimum is more of a Pine/Grapefruit heavy IPA. Head Hunter is up there with the best IPAs when fresh.
