I had one from 08 in late 2010. Boozy sweet raisins, not like an IPA more like a barleywine at that point.

Delicious regardless of what style it resembles. Aged is the only way to go for me on this particular offering. Give me a year on it or I'm not getting into it.

Last year we did a 5 year vertical of 120s. (with the exception of the year that they didn't release it)
I dont recall all of the details off of the top of my head, but I remember there was a distinct difference between the freshest and the 1 year old. The 1,2, and 3 year old bottles all held up very well and drank very similarly. The oldest ones had definitely fallen off. They certainly weren't undrinkable, but were nothing like the freshest batches.

I had an '07 not too long ago and a lot of the booze had faded leaving a big sweetness like others have mentioned. It was enjoyable but having it fresh is a whole different animal.

I had a 2008 about a year ago, it was okay but definitely fell far off from fresh. I honestly believe you should drnk this fresh or not drink it at all.

Agreed wholeheartedly. The first time I had aged 120, I had a "meh" reaction in that I could see it going well as a dessert drink. The second time I had it, I thought "I am never drinking aged 120 again." Both times, it was around four years old.

    BTW, I LOVE fresh 120.
