At first I thought, its a steal grab it but then I thought there must be a catch why its cheap and sure enough I checked the bottling date and it was dated in 2013. Now should I go back and grab some, or do Belgians like this not age well ? I dont have much experience drinking this style.

Any beer over 9-10% will age well....if you try one and like it you could pick up more.

Typically yes they age well, but who knows what conditions it was stored in previous to this

Sorry I should have been more specific....hopped beers will not age well because the hops fall off...as well as beers with adjuncts (coffee, coconut, vanilla, cherry) however there are exceptions

Yes, I am not a fan of beers that have been aged in stores with florescent lights shining on them, not temp controlled....

With the exception of hoppy barleywines...they age wonderfully.

Some quads age better than others. Three Philosophers is an American quad that is amazing with several years on it.

I heard V-12 is really only good with some age on it. Makes sense since I tried it fresh and didn't like it. Was too hot. I say buy that sucker.

Probably good for at least 5 years in fair conditions. These can take a pretty good beating, I've had lots of Belgian Quads in the 3-5 year range that taste great, even if not stored in the best manner.

Still, great to try at least one fresh too for a comparison point.

I still have a few bottles of 2009 Ommegang Three Philosophers and they are fantastic and don't seem like they'll fall apart anytime soon either.

I prefer quads with a few years on them. They smooth out and become much more enjoyable IMO, buy a few they should be fine.
