I don't think they've brewed it in almost 4yrs now.

Should be decent. Just dont expect much of a lemony hop finish.

We see some of them here in Buffalo. Noel and h'iver were the last 2 I've seen.

There were some bottles of Hiver that popped up in Syracuse at one store (why that one place and no others, I couldn't tell you) last March or April, for $15.99/ bottle, I think. Seemed like there were too many ways that purchase could turn out to be money poorly spent for me to justify the sticker price.

Might jump on a bottle of that or something else, if newer Fantôme bottles pop up sometime and I'm feeling saucy.

We opened a hiver recently, tasted of plastic and skunk. Opened a Noel last tasting and was a nice cider like flavor profile. Seems like its a crap shoot with bottle variation from reviews too.

Yeah. That was exactly my concern with it—not going to spend that money on a bottle of unknown age and provenance when even the most pristine bottles appear to be craps shoots, anyway.

Just curious, I have a fantome Noel that I bought in October and can't find a date anywhere. Where did you see the date on your bottle? I was a big fan of that beer when my buddy opened his last week and am excited to open mine as well, just curious as to how old mine is.

Unfortunately the date was a store thing not a bottle thing. The price tag had a date stamp from when they stocked it.

Ahhh I see. I think it's safe to assume mine was from last fall/early winterbSed on when and where I got it. Cheers!

really? The cherry saison, when fresh, may have been the worst beer I've ever had from them and I despise most of their imperial series.

I believe the label art changes each year, but could be it changes when dany runs out of labels.
