Aggressive Primary Fermentation - advice

    Well yeah. I got distracted from posting a reply originally, but still wanted to weigh in. I picked the bucket up specifically for big beers.

    As I mentioned in a previous post, when I homebrew higher gravity beers (which is rarely) I add some Fermcap drops to the primary fermenter as insurance. Maybe the reason I have no blow off issues is because of the Fermcap? I have never brewed a higher gravity beer without using Fermcap so I really do not know whether it is absolutely required to eliminate a blow off with this size bucket.

    I still have blowoff issues with fermcap. It isn't as bad, but big beers gonna do what they do.
