The bottle says honey added for "agability"...I dont think so, it would probably taste a lot like any other faded IPA.

I am pretty sure they added maple syrup and not honey

Seems you are reading the wrong bottle.

Just curious, what didn't you like about it fresh? I still have my bottle and am leaning towards drinking it rather than cellaring.

Yah, you are right. Still, a bunch of sugar.

i like 60 minute and 90 minute but this blend did not work for me , it did not have the best of both as I'd hoped. the beer buyer at the place i bought the bottle described it as having a creamy carbonation , i think that was a problem for me

It's an IPA--drink it fresh if you only have one bottle.

They state 120 and Burton Baton age well too. Anyone had luck with either of these?

I have some 120 just sitting around waiting to get older.

I ended up picking up half a case of 75min last week, and have the ability to grab more this week if I want. I was curious what everyone else thought about aging it? I COULD drink all of them rather quickly if need be, but wanted to know the consensus on letting one sit around for a while.

I've drank 2 of them, and liked them a good bit, enough that I went back to buy 2 more to replace what I drank! Pairs well with grilled foods. I'm just worried the lower ABV might be a bit low to really sit well with time.

It goes against everything I know to be true but the bottle indicates this beer has age-ability? Is that crazy talk? Anyone else aging a bottle of this?

It is bottle conditioned, I bought another one yesterday that i'm gonna lay down for a bit and see how it is. The squall was pretty gk ood with some time on it.

The only ipa's I would hold onto are the DFH Squall and Victory's Wild Devil. Though if this gets good reports it msy add to the list. Haven't tried it yet myself, but people I know say it's really good.

don't age it if you only have one. you'll see when you drink it that anything good happening is a long shot.

i liked the beer, but it really is somewhere b/w 60min and 90min. 60min = not very complex, hop forward. 90min = more sweet malt flavors, along with a more complex hop profile but not as assertive. 75min is hop forward, with some interesting new flavors, but it's not like a barleywine or anything.

my guess is that it's not going to get better.

edit: WWS, olde school, and maybe even 120 min i can see aging before you try them. 75min though, no.

(incidentally, squall IPA ages well... doesn't really get better, but stays amazing and changes a bit)

    * I drank a 2 y/o Burton Baton last week, tasted wonderful
    * I had an 120 from the first bottling last year, a few nights ago - heat has tapered off nicely.
    * Drank a 3+ year old World Wide a few weeks back. Fantastic!

If it's that easy for you to get you might as well lay a couple down right? Worst that happens is its a drain pour of some beer you didn't kill anyone to get a hand on, best that happens is it's delicious with age

I don't think anyone would have had a 6 month+ old 75 minute IPA. As far as I know, it's only previously been available cask-conditioned, not by the bottle.

I had it at the brewpub from the cask and liked it, but wouldn't think it would be a candidate for cellaring.

Do they still put "Ages Well" on bottles of 90min? It's been a couple of years since I bought one.

90min does not age well. So I would imagine 75min doesn't either.

I had a 5 year old bottle that was one of the best beers I've ever had. If that beer wasn't so expensive I'd buy at least a case each year just to age.

seconded on 5~ yr world wide stout. as i said in my review, i'd hold 5yr old WWS up to black tuesday or BCBS any day, in terms of complexity. if you treat it right for 5 years, it will treat you right.
