Agreed, whole-heartedly. it's amazing how complex that beer is without any barrel aging. A 5 year old bottle of was is what got me into collecting and aging beer and is probably tied side by side with aged abyss for favorite beer. I think I'd have to put it over abyss just for the fact that its not barrel aged. IMO Sam Calagione is an innovator.

I shared a 75 minute last week and really enjoyed it. I didn't find it too hop forward, and there are not a lot of fresh IPA notes, so I don't see what you'd lose there. I could see this aging well and I plan to stash at least one away.

I did have one really fresh. It was good, nothing too special if you ask me. I'm aging my other bottle to see what happens...purely as an expirement. We'll see. I'm thinking late summer or early fall, I'll crack it open.

    I may have liked this a lot more if I didn't pay $15 for the 750 ...

Side note: I have a 2007 WWS that I just got in a trade, can't wait to see how good that is.

I picked up 2 bottles of 2013 and still have a 2012. I plan on drinking the 2012 this weekend to see if the aging ability is true. The last one I drank had 5 or 6 months on it and I really enjoyed it. Crossing my fingers...
