I'm sure you've had this question before, but I can't really find anything that relates to my situation. I recently purchased a little over a case of BA beers (16 of them are SMS), but now I have nowhere cool to store it. The closest thing I have is a closet that is about 70- 75 degrees. Would this be fine for up to a year?

Yes, up to a year you should be fine. There was recently within the last few days another forum post discussing aging BA beers you should read as well.

As the prior poster suggested I would suggest reading the link below:

you may be fine as maybe no real objectionable off tastes but my experience is there will likely be no benefit to do so only potential detriment. I have a second large refrigerator that holds a constant 52F temperature and at a year I've had very few BA beers who's taste showed some positive improvements. Even those beers had some of the desirable taste notes fade. I've stored BA beers at room temp prior to getting my second refrigerator and I would suggest trying to finish them all within a year or sooner if possible. Just passing on some of my experiences.
    Cheers

I've really good luck at room temperature. We recently did a share with various 2013 beers (Abyss, Dragon's Milk, BCBS, kbs were the highlights) all stored at room temperature and the final agreement was they were all amazing. Most had lost a little alcohol, the deep flavors, like chocolate and molasses were so nice and balanced in nearly all of them. And most every one agreed they were better than the fresh versions of the ones we had.

Yeah actually I'm surprised those people haven't come yet in to say that your beer is ruined by not being exactly 45* in a natural stone cellar to keep the yeast happy, cantillion does x, blah blah. It's just beer man

what, you don't take your bottles out for dinner followed by carefree walks along the beach at sunset? or play the radio in your cellar with contemporary adult in the morning and easy listening at night?

I don't think they are likely to be hurt, but they probably aren't getting any better (especially a coffee beer like SMS).
