just started seriously sampling my burton ale which is around 8 months old. Surprisingly the hop flavor so are really now coming thru. I am wondering if anyone has made a burton and how long did you age it for peak drinkablity?

I did one years ago and it drank well for over two years. It was over 10%. 100% Marris Otter and a pound of sugar heavily bittered. An excellent beer except I screwed up and it was over carbonated. Drink well!

Sounds tasty. Did you secondary this at all to let it mellow out, or did you do the extended aging in the bottle? so 12 oz total of hops? sounds like a beastly beer!

Yeah, I believe it was in the secondary for 4 months. Recipe called for 1 year. It is beastly, but ohhh those noble hops
