The oldest i've had it is around 7 months, and it was very good. Hops were fading and the oaky characteristics were taking more of a frontseat. Since one of the bases is an old ale, its probably perfectly worth it to age out in my opinion.

I currently have 3 bottles left in my cellar and will be drinking at 1,2,3 years.

Love it fresh. Have had some in the cellar for about 6 months now, with the intent of waiting a year or two.

My opinion, don't age it. This beer is best fresh.

I've had it with 2 years on it and enjoyed it immensely. Worth tucking one away.

Great with a year and out. Have a 11, 12, and 13 to try a vert!

It's good either fresh-6 months old OR aged 1.5-2.5 years. Pretty much sucks after that

    My notes:

6 months - hazy bright orange amber color with nic thick 3/4" off-white head. good lacing, and great head retention.
nose is mostly piney and citrus hops, with just a touch of sweetness. the taste is much more balanced. earthy wood flavors, but ends with tropical fruit sweetness - orange and grapefruit. no alcohol taste.
fairly thick body for the style, good carbonation level. easy to drink, almost creamy.
overall - definitely a unique beer from the 90 min IPA. another quality brew from DFH.

2 year - same appearance. aroma about the same. fruit notes in the taste may have increased, maybe a bit sweeter.

2.75 years - same look, surprising still good head retention. aroma has less hop dominance. taste is about the same. super smooth flavor and mouthfeel.

3.5 years-a little sweet in the taste, but finishes a bit spicy, and woody, earthy. the sweetness is citrus fruity.

Picked up 3 bottles that had date of January 2014. In my opinion, beer definitely sweetens, almost to a barleywine style. Very good experience.
