Does anyone have experience with this? These beers always give me heartburn and reflux, but I was given some for a gift, so I'm wondering if the heat will fade or not. I'm interested to hear what other people have done and how it worked out.
    Thanks.

The heat does tend to fade over time, but how noticeable the heat is also depends on the beer. Dragon's Milk Reserve was far more mellow with a few months on it, but with something like Prairie Bomb, I feel that it gets spicier (or rather, the heat is more noticeable) in the short term as the other adjuncts in the beer fade.
