Is this a cellar able beer? I only ask because I got a couple in a mix a six pack, and i'm not too crazy about it. I'm thinking that maybe with some time they may have potential to taste better.

I have been cellaring some other, more obviously celler able beers (Prarie Bomb!, On Fleek Imperial Stout, and Founders Imperial Stout) but I have no clue if the Midas Touch would age well.

Sorry if this seems like a newbie question, just looking for answers. Thanks!

I haven't aged it personally but a regular at the shop where I work says that she used to age it with good results a while back but somewhere along the line the recipe must have changed because now her vintage bottles don't taste like they used to. I personally have never liked the beer and have realized over time that honey in beer is not my thing. Just my .02

I had aged a couple of these for a few years because I was curious. I think oxidation helped the beer a bit and I did enjoy it more than I did when fresh, but I'm somewhat sensitive to sweetness in beers.

I think the question is *what parts* of the beer don't you enjoy when it's fresh? That will help answer the question of whether cellaring is worth the space/time. As an aside, I wouldn't call Prairie Bomb much of a cellarable beer.

Thanks for your response. I just thought that Bomb! would be a candidate for the cellar, as a lot of imperial stouts are.

I will try to age the midas as an experiment. I have plenty of space, as I am just getting into cellaring beers.

    Cheers.

Your .02 is appreciated. I'm not a huge fan of the beer either but I thought i'd age it as an experiment. Fingers crossed!

Bomb is not viewed as an aging candidate because of the adjuncts. What makes the beer what it is will die off.
