Has anyone tried to cellar 3 Floyd's Alpha Klaus? I have a couple years worth of this one and I'm wondering how it might turn out.

I would assume the hoppy presence in the beer would fade over time. Probably better fresh.

I agree that the hoppy presence will most likely fade over time. Up to you to decide if that's better or worse. I'm voting better aged than fresh.

I'll have to check, but I believe I have an '09 and a '11. Maybe I'll crack-open the 2009 and see how it is. I'll report back!

Please do!, I've got one in my cellar that I didn't get around to drinking this Christmas and I'd like to know what to expect if I wait to crack it open until this Christmas.

The '09 had the mettalic/shiny label. Alpha Klaus is perfect fresh. When you age it; the hops die, chocolate, and the roastiness. The only beers you can age from FFF's is Dark Lord and Behemoth. Everything else is best fresh since they make really good hoppy beer.
