Wondering about fresh vs aged oude tart with cherries.

I opened one up from 2013. I haven't had the oude tart with cherries fresh, this wasn't one I was intending to age (traded for it 6 months ago, kept in my fridge at 50F, no idea about the conditions before). It had a lot of red wine vinegar and sweet-sour cherry, not bad but to me not as good as regular oude tart. Has anyone had this fresh vs aged? Wondering if the vinegar taste I got was from the beer or from the age.

    Thanks!

The 2013 batch was much more sour than the base beer as well as the 2014 batch. 2014 was actually a little sweet. Setting one aside like you have just tempered the sour more I assume.
