Aging Saisons

Lol its all good! Not much info given on it, maybe they could give a little more depth on changes noticed. I'm thinking of aging some. Plenty Sorachi ace around here so I may actually be able to hold onto a bottle more than a month or 2 without losing will power and drinking it. I love that stuff

 

Brewery vivant has an Imperial aged saison that is perfect for a cellar

 

i prefer mine fresh. and as brett ages, it becomes more active aka gusher

 

So I saved the link to this article because I always thought it was good to come back to as a home brewer but I just recently went to re-read and the link is down. Anyone have a copy of this article they could share?

What I've been told somewhere in making the rounds here is that saisons are brewed "to keep," but only in the sense of brewing over winter and drinking in summer, that kind of time frame -- not for many moons. I seem to recall an even older thread in this vein that inspired me to try a few -- can't recall specific notes but recall a theme of all change but usually not in an improvement. I'll have to search out that Vivant, though.
