So, I wanted to try a little experiment and started to age both 2010 and 2011 cans. I brought them to a tasting recently and we all agreed that the 2010 was superior to the 2011. However, I just opened a 2009 tonight and I remember the 2010 being much more robust. I believe this 09 has fallen off a bit. I have 3 more of each and plan on doing a tasting to compare all 3. Anyone have anything older or have experience with aging Ten Fidy?

    Cheers.

Had a 2010 recently that was absolutely fantastic. It was definitely robust and went down waaay to easy. I can't speak for anything older than that though.

On another note I recall a thread on the old BA about the cans springing leaks near the center after a few years. Can't remember if it was an isolated incident or not.

    I sure hope so.

I had an 08' late last year and thought it was still great. My experiences with Ten Fidy are spread out since I don't have regular access, so It's hard to say whether fresh or aged is better.

I do though have a complete vertical (07'-11') that I am holding onto, so I wonder...

I've had an 09 and 10 recently, both were excellent but it wasn't side by side so hard to say which was better. The 09 had lost a bit of that classic Ten Fidy body but the flavors were sublime and the ABV had calmed down considerably.
