Just curious if anybody cracked a HandFarm batch 1 and compared it to batch 2? Batch 1 was released in January, Batch 2 in August.

Loved batch 1 when I opened a fresh bottle of it, I'm curious how it's changed over the past 10 months and how it compares to a fresher batch 2.

Doesn't help you now, but drank a Batch 2 last week, and a Batch 3 tonight.

Batch 2 was damn funky and acidic. This may be sacrilege but the nose reminded me a lot of 3F Oude Geuze. Tart, lemony, funky. However, the flavour profile just didn't show up as much as I'd have expected for a wine-barrel aged saison. Even the white wine didn't come out all that much.

Batch 3 tasted better, more white wine-barrel forward with just enough tart and funk to make it decently interesting. It however, smelled quite a bit more boring to say the least.
