Picked up a 4 pack last week. Haven't tried it yet (waiting for this mild cold to go away so I can do a proper review). Pretty pumped to try this one. Thinking about sitting on 2 bottles or so.

Any experiences out there? Sweet spots? Feel free to share.

It is truly awesome this year. You will know when you drink the first one that these are drinkers now

I had some at the Riserva release. Damn tasty now. I have 2 bottles in my fridge waiting. I'll be having one after I drink the plethora of hoppy beers I have before they go past their prime. I might go pick up a couple more actually and lay one down for a while to see what happens.

I threw 2 bottles in the cellar last year and a 4-pack this year. I can see it aging with the best of them but have yet to drink any of my aged bottles. From what I can tell this year's has a lot less hot alcohol than last years.

I have some bombers (2009 or earlier, undated) and they're drinking awesome. This one'll age for at least 3 years with no worries.

I had a 2010 bottle this past December which was drinking awesome, loaded with bourbon still. I'm laying two down from my 4-pack I picked up this year. Have yet to try any of this year's batch yet. Damn you Hopslam and Nugget Nectar.

i've never aged it because it's so good right away.

i'm aging some heresy though; feel like there's room for improvement there. hope it doesn't just get thinner and less barrel-influenced.

This is a tough one for me to hold on to. Seems like i drink it before i can get more than a few months on it. Gonna try and hide a 4 pack and seem how long i can go.

I bottles from about the past 5 years and none have "fallen off" so far. I had a 2007 on draft about 4 months ago and it was amazingly complex and enjoyable. This years seems to be a lot cleaner then I have experienced with other vintages and I would say it was aged in a "first" second use barrel, but that is just speculation.
    My advice=age a few!

Definitely great with about a year on it, but I've found flavors in this fresh batch that I haven't in previous batches that work very well for a fresh BW of it's caliber.

What a timely thread! I've never had this beer before (no Weyerbacher in Kentucky), but I had heard of it and was up in Fairfield, OH the other day and snapped up a 4-pack of it. Now I can't wait to try it.

Excellent- just popped one about two weeks ago. The bozziness has mellowed quite a bit compared to the newest release.

They will age just fine. Relatively cheap, accessible beer. A store by me still has them from last year.
