Had a daughter today, named Avery, and would like to grab a couple bottles in her honor and put away for special occasions. This, of course, maybe be slightly selfish of me as she won't enjoy these beers, but perhaps as a celebration of the next couple milestones or birthdays.

    Any thoughts?

    Congrats on the kiddo!!

Everything Avery makes is like 20%, so you picked an easy name to make this happen...

Ha, this is true, there is tons of Avery stuff that will hold up.

Reverend, Czar, all of the "Demons," Uncle Jacob's, Rumpkin. And most of their one off barrel aged goodies should hold up well too (the most recent, 5 Monks, was a 19%...quad+, basically). You won't go wrong.

Congrats! Hog Heaven or Samaels are fantabulous choices.

Put one away for 21 years and on her 21st you can present her with her birth year beer!

    Awesome choices.

I am only familiar with Maharajah and Hog Heaven here in Massachusetts. Looking forward to getting to the store and see other options. HH seems like a really solid choice. I hope I can find some of the stouts too.

The Beast Grand Cru just came out. Super tasty and definitely worth cellaring.
Mephistopheles and Samael are also good choices. I just enjoyed a 2006 Mephistopheles last weekend.
Congrats on the new baby! Avery is one of my favorite breweries.

5 monks should also be available soon. A 19% 'quad'.

The plan is to get something to drink on her first, fifth and maybe further birthdays. We got a Samael, Hog Heaven, and a Reverend.

    Thoughts?

    Really?

I thought for sure hog Heaven might be a five year. Thanks for the input.

Yeah, it probably could be. I was just putting them in the order I believe that they will hold up.

Mephistopheles for sure. I have two bottles of Uncle Jacobs that I plan to hold onto but I haven't had it yet.

Had an 09' Mephistopheles earlier this year which tasted like a liquid brownie. Pick one up if you have the chance!
