I'm going to be traveling out to Denver and either fortunately or unfortunately I need to have a connecting flight. My options for catching the connection are either Houston, San Antonio, Oklahoma City or Tulsa. Any one have experience with beers at any of these airports? Just wondering which one if any would be better for beer.
There are connecting flights through Oklahoma City, Tulsa and San Antonio? This is all news to me. And, I am guessing on those three, your answer is no. I cannot say for sure (except for San Antonio, where I did not see any the last time I flew out). As for Houston, you will probably only see St. Arnold, but it won't be any of their known stuff (honestly, nor worth scheduling a layover for). I would go for cheapest/quickest. Houston would probably be the biggest pain to transfer flights at just due to airport size.
If you go through OKC or Tulsa you'll be limited to "3-2" beer at airport bars. San Antonio is the only airport I don't have much experience with.
If you're going to Bush (IAH), then you will have Live Oak, St Arnold and Karbach on tap at the Pappadeaux. I'm actually going to get myself a Karbach Hopadillo and Live Oak Pils (really hoping its that one again) on draft there today!
San Antonio was pretty bleak last time I went through (6-8 months ago). BMC + Sam Adams from what I saw.
